Pixelora Studio guide

Indexing is a decision Google makes after discovering and processing a URL.

A page being present on your website does not guarantee that it will appear in Google Search. First check the exact status and affected URL in Search Console.

Discovered – currently not indexed

Google knows the URL but has not crawled it yet. Check whether the page is important, linked internally, included in the sitemap and supported by adequate server performance.

Crawled – currently not indexed

Google fetched the page but did not include it in the index at that time. Review whether the content is useful, distinctive and accessible, and whether the page duplicates another URL.

Duplicate and canonical statuses

Google may select a different canonical URL when multiple URLs contain substantially similar content. Check the declared canonical and the version Google selected before changing anything.

Noindex and robots restrictions

A noindex directive tells search engines not to index a page. A robots.txt block can prevent crawling. These controls have different purposes, so inspect the page and response rather than changing them blindly.

A sensible investigation sequence

Open URL Inspection for the exact URL.

Check the indexing reason and Google's selected canonical.

Confirm the page returns a successful response and is crawlable.

Review its content and internal links.

Fix the identified cause, then request indexing when appropriate.
